Parnell, Laurel: Transforming Trauma: EMDR; the Revolutionary New Therapy for Freeing the Mind, Clearing the Body and Opening the Heart, Norton Professional Books, NY, 1997.  (Written with the consumer in mind from a personal and professional perspective)

Lovett, Joan: Small Wonders, The Free Press, NY, 1999.  (Clinically focused, yet informative for the consumer.  Use of EMDR with children for a wide range of common emotional and behavioral problems in children)
